An information booklet that provides information for women who
have experienced incest or abuse as a child or are supporting women
who have experienced incest/child abuse. This booklet was produced
by the workers at the Brisbane Rape and Incest Crisis Centre (predecessor
of BRISSC) as a response to the many women who called the service
in the 22 years prior to 1996 and shared their stories with workers.
Over the last eight years there have been changes to our service
and many others listed in the referral section of the booklet as
well as changes to legal information that was included in this first
edition. While this continues to be a valued historical text the
BRISSC Collective is currently seeking funds to develop up to date resources on incest for survivors and those who support them.
